Ok I have a question , but first I will like to say your blog is the best one I have ever seen ❤️❤️your like a big sister giving advice, so i have a question, how can I get my 🐱 and 🍑 soft ? And how can I keep them both fresh and smelling good. It embarrassing to say this but I just need help, when I asked some family members they turn they face up and act like they never smelt before, so I just need help atp.
Aww thank you so much! As an esthetician this question is right up my ally as kitty care is my specialization. 🐈‍⬛🎀
How to keep your kitty + peach soft:
Go in for a Brazilian or Bikini wax. This is a great way to get rid of any unwanted hair and can help prevent ingrown hairs as well. If pain is something that worries you try sugaring instead! It is recommended to get a wax every 3-4 weeks when the hair is about the size of a grain of rice.
Invest in a vagacial or booty facial. These are a great way to keep both areas soft, smooth and free of hyperpigmentation. This can be done once a month but can also be done every 15 days depending on the skin type and skin concerns for that area.
If you choose to shave make sure you are using a good + clean razor. Razors should be changed out every 5-7 shaves! Shave against the grain of your hair for the best results!
Laser hair removal is another option. Note that laser hair removal does not get rid of hair growth permanently but it does slow the rate of your hair growth tremendously. Electrolysis is the only method to completely remove any unwanted hair.
I use the Peach & Lily KP Bump Boss as a way to keep my skin extra soft and smooth. I only use this on the Mona Pubis area and do not use it on any other sensitive areas of the kitty.
Use Fur Professional products! Their line is used by many estheticians including myself for both intimate areas of the body.
Cleaning 101:
Your kitty cleans itself regularly which is why some people only clean theirs by rinsing with water. If you choose to use a soap I recommend Dove’s Unscented Body Soap or Dr. Bronner’s Pure Unscented Castile Liquid Soap. Remember to only wash your Mona Pubis + Outer Labia area and avoid getting soap on sensitive areas.
Summer’s Eve products should only be used to restore your pH and to provide temporary relief for minor irritation or itching.
Remember all kitty’s have a certain scent that many describe to be like a bread scent. If the smell is strong, continues to worsen or begins to cause pain and itching please contact a health care provider!!!!

Quitting makeup | minimalism
Growing up as a makeup junkie I took pride in owning the most and the most expensive products in order to look or feel my best at all times and decorate a luxurious vanity desk. Makeup for me was purely a reflection of my physical insecurities. The biggest insecurity being my skin.
However I’ve recently learnt the viscous cycle of buying products to cover my problems rather than curing the real problem. So naturally the makeup obsession evolved to skincare obsession. I still try to keep this simple.
Removing social media and unsubscribing to makeup channels was a huge factor that made me embrace my natural beauty and learn to live with dark circles, pores and hyperpigmentation. I no longer wear makeup everyday or rarely ever besides lipgloss. No concealer, or eyeliner or eyebrow product. No taking ages to get ready and apply heavy makeup. No money wasted regularly on the trendy cosmetics.
I no longer feel the need to take a selfie every day for Snapchat or Instagram. I am free from the capitalist trap. I take care of my skin as minimal as possible; cleanse, moisturise, sunscreen & a treatment if needed.
This led to a pile of unused makeup and tools over the year which I threw away as most were expired and unused while the rest were decluttered to others or sold online. As a result my cosmetics fit perfectly in 1 little bag and there is nothing on display besides the daily skincare used. I also decluttered all my cosmetic organisers and pots by selling online and noticed a huge relief
Love yourself & delete other forms of social media. You’re not ugly society is.

How to Choose Best Skin Care Products
So many skin care products yet no idea what specific product will do the needed job. We all have gone through such situations at some stage of our life. Occasionally your skin changes its behaviour when it move from the 20s to 30s, and 30's to 40s.A Skincare product has no value if it does not do the job it is supposed to do. The quality, effectiveness, worth, and actions are only authentic if they claim to do the action of improving and enhancing the skin. Most people tend to think skin care products are the solution to all their skin problems or rather skin products are the magical quick fix to a horde of skin issues. This kind of thinking is not practical. In order to recognize which skin care product is the best suited for you, it is important to know what it will be doing to the skin and the kind of solution it will be giving. Without this knowledge, skin care products is a bit of a riddle for most people. Let us look at the factors to look out for when we choose skincare products,
Tumblr media
1. Which ingredients to use and avoid
The ingredients in a skin product is the first step to consider when selecting a skin care product. The chemistry of cosmetic products is what makes or breaks your skin. For that reason, we need to know what to use and to avoid:
a. Need Natural Antioxidants and Vitamins: Anti-oxidants are natural elements that help in reducing the environmental damage happening to the skin because of exposure to sun, pollution and free radicals. Free radicals can harm the skin just like environmental factors and our body produces them to a certain extent. Antioxidants calms the skin and reduces the stress of the skin's reaction to such negative factors. Some examples of antioxidants are flavonoids (something found in tea, both black and green), resveratrol (a compound that’s found in skin of grapes, peanuts), and vitamins like vitamin E, Vitamin C and Vitamin A
b. Avoid Parabens : These are preservatives used to make a skin care product last longer. Some cosmetic companies claim that these facts about parabens are merely common thinking about it becoming bad for the body. That is a marketing technique. The truth is parabens can go through the skin and interfere with hormones like estrogen. According to studies, it can increase division of cells and tumour growth. Hence, it has been associated with reproductive problems and cancer. Some common parabens to look out for are Propylparaben, Butylparaben and Methylparaben .
c. Look for AHAs-AHA is an acronym for alpha hydroxyacid. It is a group of naturally found fruit acids, linked to providing relief for hyperpigmentation, and used in moisturizers to straighten fine lines. Some naturally occurring AHAs are acids found in sugarcane, tomatoes, apples, grapes and lemon. They also hydrate and make the skin function normally.....Read more

Are the words tweezing and waxing a regular part of your vocabulary
If so, you are likely one of the millions of people out there who struggle with unwanted hair. The removal of hair as a cosmetic enhancement or purely as a matter of hygiene has been a battle fought by many for centuries. The available methods have for many decades been simple, but only temporary. Shaving, tweezing, and waxing certainly get the job done, but there has long been a need for a more effective and more permanent method of achieving the desired result.
For quite some time, electrolysis has been the best answer to the fight against unwanted hair. Electrolysis involves the use of electrical currents to damage and diminish hair growth. It provides botox products to buy momentary relief from undesired hair, and can, in time, diminish or thin recurring growth. As a result, electrolysis is for many a lifelong pursuit that often does not meet the clients expectations. It can be quite an uncomfortable process as well.
Nearly ten years ago, however, technology began to meet consumer demand when laser hair removal was born. A laser is a very pure and very specific form of light energy. A byproduct of light is heat, which made the laser an ideal tool for the pursuit of permanent hair removal. Laser energy can be applied in a specific way in order to heat and thus damage hair follicles and their surrounding support structures. Once the follicle is heavily damaged or destroyed, it no longer has the ability to grow hair.
This concept became a reality with the advent of a new breed of ruby lasers. Ruby lasers produce a very precise red light output that is ideal for hair removal. It is ideal because red light is drawn to the dark coloration of a hair follicle as a result of a principal known as selective absorption. This is the same phenomenon that may cause you to be warmer on a hot summer day if you wear a dark colored shirt rather than a light colored shirt. Dark colors absorb light and, consequently, heat while light colors typically deflect light energy.
The development of a ruby laser with specifications needed to produce an effective removal of unwanted hair without resulting in side effects or incredible discomfort worked relatively well in the infancy of these technologies, but they clearly proved to provide an optimal result if you had dark hair and light skin. The reason for this was selective absorption. The ruby laser red light was attracted to the dark color of the hair follicle. If a client had tanned or darker skin or light colored hair, the quality of the end result of the treatment was greatly diminished. Dark skin absorbed the energy, which prevented the energy to reach the desired target. Heating the melanin in the skin with a laser like this also led to hypo pigmentation and hyperpigmentation, which is the darkening or lightening of the skin.
A tool that could provide predictable and consistent hair removal for those with fair skin and dark hair was a great thing, but this likely represented the minority of the potential buying public tat could benefit from this service. The next advancement in laser hair removal came in the form of an alexandrite laser. An alexandrite laser is another red light laser, but it was a bit more efficient. Laser engineers and technicians then learned about the benefits of cooling the skin during and after treatments to minimize the discomfort of the patient, as well as the ability to stretch out the length of time for which each laser impulse was delivered in order to avoid potential heat related side effects.
During the late 1990s, many laser engineering groups began to turn their focus to new laser frequencies, or colors of light, in order to further improve the efficiencies or laser hair removal treatments. This led to the use of infra-red light frequencies, or those that are not visible to the naked eye. This meant that the laser light was no longer seeking out specific colors to target when applied to the body, but they were designed to penetrate the skin and to deliver energy that would create the changes and reduce the occurrence of potential side effects such as burning or blistering.

Another skincare post ..💫
I figured I’d make another skincare post about eczema bc...why not?
The last one was cute and had some gems, but my knowledge now (3 years later) is more vast and could help more people with bitchass eczema.
So, one of th things I’ve noticed is that many people think of skin care and automatically associate it with the face, but for people like me with body eczema and even people with body acne, sadly, we’re in a whole different ballgame when it comes to skin care. Though it’s been a hard journey, I’m kind of happy to have struggled with my skin so that I could gain and spread knowledge to other people who suffer. So here are some eczema (and dry and sensitive skin) skincare tips that are suitable for the face AND the body:
1) Learn the difference between MOISTURE and HYDRATION 💦.
I guarantee learning this difference will help you choose products better and learn more about your skin. Hydration 💦 is when you directly apply water to the skin, so when you're washing your hands, in the shower, or taking a bath, this is hydration. Any time you wash, you hydrate, because you're applying water. When you moisturize, you’re applying lotion, oils, butters, ointments, or basically anything after hydrating that will SEAL in the water. For awhile I got these two mixed up, so you’re not alone, trust me. Learning this difference can also help out with getting hair products as well.
2) Now that you now this difference, you can now weed out the crappy lotions claim to ‘add hydration’, and other products that lie and are bad for your skin.  Our skin has something called a moisture barrier that directly affects our skin health, (if it's damaged then it effects our skins ability to accept hydration and moisturize) and many products that claim to help our skin actually damage it because of the drying alcohols within (I’m looking at YOU cetaphil) So products that help the skin’s moisture barrier are essential. One brand that I LOVE to recommend is Aveeno because it incorporates soothing oatmeal. (Not all aveeno lotions are good for eczema prone skin, so get aveeno daily moisturizing lotion, aveeno skin relief lotion and body wash, and aveeno eczema relief),
3) Following estheticians on social media. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH THIS HAS IMPROVED MY SKIN. All my knowledge, I got from them dropping little gems on my feed about skin care. Dermatologists are so useless and only should be consulted when you have a serious breakout. Many don't even help you figure out a skincare routine, they just give you an ointment or recc cetaphil/eucerin and send you on your way, but estheticians help you establish a skincare routine and recc products to suit your skin type. A few that are on twitter ig and facebook that I love are: @/heyaprill @/cruzanchoklate @/Labeautyologist & @/caveofbeauty. They have helped me more than any dermatologist ever have.
3) ‘NATURAL’ PRODUCTS ARE NOT THE HOLY GRAIL, DO NOT LET THESE COMPANIES FOOL YOU! Many companies prey on people with skin problems with claims that all alcohols/chemicals in products are bad and you should just use natural ingredients like oils, cinnamon, and whatever else you can find in your pantry...or conveniently on their site (looking at you lush). Don’t be fooled, there are horrible products and things in your pantry that should never go on your face (I'm looking at YOU coconut oil) or on your body (im looking at YOU lemon juice) that are horrible for the skin and its moisture barrier, but not all products or ‘chemicals’ are the enemy. Serums such as lactic acid and hyaluronic acid have helped my skin and its moisture barrier WAY more than the cinnamon in my pantry, any sheet mask, or oils at my grocery store ever could.
4) Establishing an actual skincare routine (SCR). THIS is essential to turning around your skin, like forreal. Basic SCR’s usually consist of:
cleanser
toner
serum
moisturizer/lotion
sealant
Once you have this down, you can literally take over the world. Lol not really but with the skin you’ll have, you’ll feel like you could. Don’t think that you’ll get the products you need over night and establish a SCR the next day, no, it takes time. You may fail once or twice or thrice, but the more you learn about your skin and what it likes, the closer you’ll get to healthier skin. Here are some products rec’s from me to you:
Cleanser- aveeno skin relief body wash has really helped my raised and bumpy skin go down. I get a big tub and use it on my face and body and it has never left my side. Another honorable mention is Cerave products. They have products for all skin types and it says it on the bottle so that you don’t have to be confused on what you can use or not. Very gentle on the skin an uses hyaluronic acid to help with hydration.
Toner- PCA skin hydrating toner. This stuff really helps me with dryness, I love it so much!
Serum- The ordinary Lactic acid and hyaluronic acid . lactic helps with smoothness and hyperpigmentation and hyaluronic helps with hydration
lotion- All that aveeno I mentioned before, cerave moisturizing cream. STAY AWAY FROM CETAPHIL I BEG YOU.
sealant- Blue seal Vaseline <3. its cheap and effective. If you have a few more dollars, the cerave healing ointment is really good too.
If you have any questions, feel free to DM me, and check out my Youtube channel ‘Confident Blackgirl’ https://youtu.be/OxYJ1J-0P7M where I take more in depth about this and products that are really good for eczema. 💋

The Ugly Truth: Acne Scars Can Leave Lifelong Emotional Scars!
Acne is a common skin condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It can be a source of frustration and self-consciousness, leading many individuals to seek quick solutions. Unfortunately, one of the most common mistakes people make when dealing with acne is popping or squeezing the pimples. In this article, we will shed light on the dangers associated with popping acne and explain why it is important to adopt healthier and more effective strategies for managing this skin condition.
Click Here To Buy The Hydrocolloid Acne Pimple Patch Covering Zits And Blemish.
Tumblr media
Introduction to Acne: Acne occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells, resulting in the formation of pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads. Factors such as hormonal changes, genetics, and excessive oil production contribute to the development of acne. While it is tempting to pop pimples as a quick fix, doing so can have severe consequences for your skin.
The Dangers of Popping Acne: a. Infection and Scarring: When you squeeze a pimple, the bacteria and debris contained within it can spread to the surrounding skin, leading to infection. This can result in more pimples and, in some cases, even painful abscesses. Additionally, popping acne can cause trauma to the skin, leading to scarring that may be difficult to fade.
b. Delayed Healing: Popping a pimple can disrupt the healing process, prolonging the time it takes for the blemish to fade. The body naturally works to repair the damaged skin, but by interfering with this process, you may find that the pimple lingers for longer or leaves a mark behind.
c. Hyperpigmentation: Popping acne can cause hyperpigmentation, which is the darkening of the skin in the affected area. This occurs as a result of inflammation and injury to the skin. Hyperpigmentation can take months to fade and may require specialized treatments to address.
d. Spreading of Acne: Popping a pimple releases the contents trapped within it, including oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells. When these substances come into contact with nearby pores, they can clog them and lead to the formation of new pimples. This can create a cycle of recurring acne and further frustration.
Safer Alternatives for Managing Acne: a. Gentle Cleansing: Cleanse your face twice a day using a mild cleanser specifically formulated for acne-prone skin. This helps remove excess oil, dirt, and dead skin cells without causing irritation or further breakouts.
b. Topical Treatments: Use over-the-counter creams or gels containing ingredients like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. These ingredients help to unclog pores, reduce inflammation, and kill acne-causing bacteria.
c. Professional Help: If your acne is severe or persistent, consult a dermatologist who can provide you with tailored treatment options, including prescription medications, chemical peels, or laser therapy.
d. Healthy Lifestyle Choices: Adopt a healthy lifestyle by eating a balanced diet, staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, and managing stress. These factors can influence hormonal balance and overall skin health.
Conclusion:
Popping acne may provide temporary relief, but the long-term consequences can be severe. It is essential to understand the dangers associated with this habit and opt for safer alternatives for managing acne. By adopting a gentle skincare routine, using appropriate treatments, and seeking professional advice when necessary, you can effectively manage your acne without compromising your skin’s health. Remember, patience and consistency are key to achieving clearer and healthier skin in the long run.

What is the Quick-Fix Radiance Facial and what are its benefits?
The Quick-Fix Radiance Facial is a rejuvenating and revitalising facial treatment designed to enhance the skin's radiance and give it a healthy, glowing appearance. It is often referred to as a "quick-fix" because it provides immediate results and can be completed in a relatively short amount of time.
The benefits of the Quick-Fix Radiance Facial may include:
Improved skin texture: The treatment helps to smooth out the skin's texture, making it feel softer and more refined.
Enhanced skin tone: It can even out the skin tone, reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and discoloration.
Increased hydration: The facial deeply hydrates the skin, leaving it plump, supple, and moisturised.
Radiant complexion: By stimulating blood circulation and promoting cell turnover, the treatment can give the skin a healthy, radiant glow.
Detoxification: The facial may help to remove impurities and toxins from the skin, leaving it fresh and purified.
Relaxation and stress relief: Like other facials, the Quick-Fix Radiance Facial offers a soothing and calming experience, allowing you to unwind and reduce stress.
It's important to note that the specific techniques and products used in a Quick-Fix Radiance Facial may vary depending on the skincare professional or spa offering the treatment. It's always recommended to consult with a licensed esthetician or dermatologist who can provide detailed information and tailor the treatment to your specific skin concerns and needs.
